Dr. Compton is an excellent dermatologist. Im lucky to be in this clinic. UW Roosevelt does have facility charges, which can make it expensive if you have a high deductible policy. However, skin conditions can be fatal, so best to have a top doc.
While Dr Compton was professionsl and courteous, there is a serious problem with how they bill. On our health plan an officevisit to a specialist is with a 30$ copay. This clinic submits its bill as two separate bills: one for the physician, one for the facility. They bill an "office visit" as an "outpatient proceedure" resulting in the bill being applied towards deductible. Two thumbs up! Dr. Compton came across to me as someone who is very knowledgeable and experienced in his field of dermatology and is one of those seemingly "far and few between" medical professionals who actually listens to and addresses his patients' concerns and does not make his patients feel rushed. Doctors like him are hard to come by these days. No buyers remorse here!
Wonderful experience with every person I interacted with in this office: The Reception staff was friendly and organized. Nurse Laura-caring & knowledgeable with great interpersonal skills; and Dr. Compton (all the above) PLUS compassionate, thorough and informative.
