Refused my sons referral because it wouldn't make him enough money. The letter even said we are accepting patients but not your son. Cool thanks he can continue to rip his scull open.
This is basically an esthetician’s office with a licensed dermatologist working there. I had gone to get some new ish skin issues checked and Dr. Sloan gave them a perfunctory check without any actual lenses or magnification before declaring them fine. I asked him about that, and he initially said “well I am a dermatologist,” but then I pushed back and asked if cancer concerns typically can be identified with the naked eye. Excellent care and attention, very cooperative and understanding to all my concerns. The mole was successfully removed from my face, no longer need to worry about nicking it getting infection. Thank you again for wonderful experience and great service.
Reply: You are providing wrong information. The correct information is on the government website and easy to read. You are making people pay for a service that is covered through OHIP. It is your job to processes the payment through OHIP, not the patient's job. My card is valid and I've been using it with no issue. Dr. Sloane is the definition of business over patient care. He is in dermatology not to treat people who are suffering, but to make a pretty penny. I've waited 6 months for my appointment, and my mother and I walked in prepared with photos and descriptions of my condition. He took a quick glance at a photo, a quick glance at my face, and decided he was done.
