I think this place is about perspective. I was there for 15 is months. Yeah crisises are scary, things can be unfair and its chaos. But what do you expect when you have a building FULL of teenagers that are together almost 24/7?.. But most of the staff do amazing at building a community for the youth no matter the dynamics. This place was chaotic at times, but overall there were genuine people who wanted to help. And I am doing much better (: I still think about this place from time to time and I appreciate everything the staff did, I hope this place continues to improve and helps more people (:
Personally the only people that cared at this place were the ycps and youth our therapists barely knew us and they've had only one successful discharge since end of November, Consistency is key and this place has no consistency that causes many youth escalations and a lot of escalations leads to therapists and higher ups saying the place isnt meant for people like "us" honestly I miss this place just because of the relationships I built with my peers and YCP's - Clay P.
