I had a really great experience at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center today. From the moment I arrived, I was helped right away with no wait, which I really appreciated. The staff made me feel comfortable immediately they brought me a blanket and juice and were very attentive. The communication from the doctors and medical staff was excellent. I have nothing but good things to say about this hospital. All of the staff we encountered were professional, personable and supportive. Each member of the medical team impressed us with their excellent bedside manner and vested interest in helping our family member. The hospital itself is beautiful and clean. The hallways are decorated with children’s artwork, putting a smile on your face when you need it.

Currently here with my spouse and have been since 3am. The behavior of the nurses starting at the 7am shift is so unprofessional and out of touch. They’re loudly laughing and talking about Netflix, completely oblivious to all the patients around them who have been here for hours, and with very little sleep. Around 7am, we hadn’t been seen by anyone in hours, and my wife’s bed is RIGHT next to the station, so I inquired, and a nurse responded, “Oh, I didn’t know she (my wife) was my patient, no one told me.” And then she did ... read more
