My experience with NewYork-Presbyterian has been incredibly frustrating. If you need something corrected, such as insurance information or a referral, be prepared for the runaround. Time and again, I've been told someone would take care of it, asked to wait while they supposedly made the correction, and assured that I would receive a call once everything was completed. The worst hospital I ever seen I went there for my root canal surgery and guess what they don't even wait a 2 minutes or 3 minutes for the numbing to start on the gums of the tooth the injected me with the anesthesia medicine to numb my mouth and that was painful it took them up to an hour just to finish a simple surgery and after that I felt I couldn't close my mouth and then they said I have to wait up to 2 hours 2 Damm hours!!! the emergency department is continuously overcrowded, resulting in long waits and frustration. triage is based on severity of symptoms of patients. to identify those needing true emergency care versus those w/ urgent care needs. which causes the doctors to have many patients to treat and causes nurses to have around 6-10 patients at a time, which can get extremely stressful. however the doctors are understanding of your symptoms and knowing what they can currently treat at the emergency room. then refer you to a specialist t... read more
