DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! From the moment I moved in the apartment was dirty. There are no ceiling lights or fans except for one light in the kitchen. The washers and dryers suck, the beds are hard as a rock, TONS of bugs that are never taken care of, no security cameras on property, shower heads are terrible, redoing our floors 2 weeks before move out meaning we have to take everything out and then put everything back in just to move out in 2 weeks. my daughter has had 3 disturbing experiences with her apt and their handling of problems including no air for 8 days in 97 degree weather and the flooding of her apt with mold for the last 10 days. We have now had to retain an attorney, contact the Health Dept, and contact The Lexington Tenant Services to help us with this apt which is now uninhabitable with mold, for which they offer us no apology or remedies. Do NOT rent from Newtown Crossing.
I recently had a friend who deals with some mental health issues enter into a lease with these people with absolutely no income, no check stubs, and no prior W-2’s. Newtown approved the lease and contract. What a sham outfit. Lease should never have been accepted and all legal opinions are the lease is definitely void. However, Newtown still thinks lease is good. Beware folks, these people are nothing but greedy.Probably violated the ADA laws too.
When my daughter moved in Newtown last fall her apartment wasn’t clean and the counter top in the kitchen was damaged. She’d signed the lease so we cleaned the carpets, wiped down walls and made the place presentable. Overall the year she lived there was fine. Moved her a week ago today to her new place. Today she realized she was missing a pair of Hunter boots, a winter jacket, a winter coat, a Columbia jacket and rain jacket that she kept in the coat closet. Safe and accessible to campus and downtown Lexington.
Great place to live. Very affordable
It being such a short walk to campus sells it. I've never had an issue with the staff or anything, and the maintenance team is always professional in my experience. Overall, if you're looking for an apartment close to campus, you won't find anything better.
Newtown Crossing has amazing customer service and always puts the customers first. The students are set up with great amenities that allows them to get some fresh air and take a break from studying. Newtown is also a convenient walk from campus making it less than a mile away. They are so good at making students feel at home.
