We are a multi-specialty group of orthopedic surgeons. Since 1970, our goal has been to provide care to our patients for a comprehensive range of orthopaedic problems. Our practice focuses on the evaluation and treatment of disorders of the bones, joints, muscles, tendons and nerves in children and adults. All of our physicians are board certified in orthopedic surgery and hold advanced certification in various sub-specialties.

Hip resurfacing procedure
Dr Hanmer just replaced my 2nd knee! He and his staff are the best!
I see Dr. Quinn for my shoulders, my mom just had knee replacement with Dr. Hanmer. Everyone was amazed with how quickly she healed, was up and walking with almost no pain. Questions about medications were responded to within hours. The office staff are friendly. The whole experience at Newton-Wellesley Hospital was excellent, too.
I saw Dr. Hanmer for two hip arthroscopies. Both hips had FAI and labral tears. Last summer (2017), I had both hips scoped six weeks apart. Yes, recovery has been long, and I continue to work very hard to re-strengthen the muscles again and heal, but here I am 10 months later and I am so happy I had the surgeries! Dr. Hanmer is very pleasant to work with, and he's an incredible surgeon. I had pain in my hips my whole life, left side especially. This hospital implanted a hip that was removed off market worse than a recalled MOM. I walked on a loose implant for 6 1/2 years after tufts reviewed X-rays from day one of surgery. Do Mccarthy, Joseph refused to tell me or my PCP that my bone was not growing on implant. I cried in disabling pain and begged for help. I begged for help at pain center.
