Saturday Oct. 2, 2021 we had a water main break at 3:00 AM on Green End. Apparently a cap on an old pipe burst off, flooding the area and causing about 25 homes to be without water. The crews were working on digging up the road about 6AM that morning and by 1PM we had water while they continued to repair the road. A utility worker came to my home and personally let me know with an advisory sheet and conversation the issue of the boil water advisory. Cheri at the water department is horrible. She should go to customer service classes. She is uncaring and cold. The town of Newport would be a better place to deal with if she was not there!!
