Avoid this unethical business! Also, don't believe their review rating. They offered a 50% discount on your next visit if you posted a 5 star review! We had an older cat on her last legs, so called Newport Village Animal Hospital for a quotation to have her euthanized. The lady put us on hold while she checked pricing. She came back and told us it would be $115.00 if the cat weighed less than 7 kg and we were taking the remains. We booked an appointment for the next day. We brought the cat in. I agree with previous reviewer about money. They only care about money, not your babies! The vet would not take a look at my dog’s paws before giving her the normal allergy shots without charging visitation charges. He specifically rejected a 20 second checkup prior to giving her a shot unless I agreed to paying visit charges. Very disappointed ….
I’d recommend avoiding this place at all costs. It’s very obvious to me that you care more about money than actually having compassion and empathy for animals. My cat was suffering from constipation issues on a Saturday a little over a month ago so I brought him here in a pinch. The treatment they recommended for him did not work. The second time I brought him in I explained how much discomfort he was in. Severe drooling, not eating or drinking, still unable to use the bathroom for many days.
