It's been a year since I've been in the VA Health care system. There is a learning curve but once you understand how it works it's easy enough. The Newport VA Clinic is very professional and has been good to me. It helps a lot if you can navigate the VA.gov site and have the different VA phone numbers that are very helpful such as community care. You can get that list at the clinic.

The VA CLINIC in Lincoln City and I can't find the address. You can never get a hold of the Newport clinic. Number goes to Portland then they supposedly transfer the call to number. Wrong number. I recently moved my care to Newport from Fairview. Big regret, it's been a year now and my email still goes to my NP in Fairview. I've asked several times now to change to Newport but nothing gets done. All DEI people need to be fired somebody isn't doing their job. It should be simple to change a patient in the system. NOTE: VA NEWPORT OREGON CLINIC ADDRESS 36 SW NYE ST NEWPORT, OR 97365 Since they can't be bothered to change it a year after their move, i put in a suggestion to edit it but lets see if it works. You're welcome for me doing your job for you. I got a voice message from Newport VA in response to my request for a referral for neurology/sleep study. There's no way to get a hold of anyone. I've had two separate PCPs that don't return messages, and there's no way to contact them directly by phone. I've had to go without medication because no one would answer my request for a refill.
