I was very pleased and impressed with the Newport Orthopedic Institute. They were very professional. Dr. Desai was excellent. The operation on my wrist for carpel tunnel as well as the follow up care couldn’t have been better
My Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel surgery optimally had no pain and is healing very well. I replace the bandage with a bandaid after about 5 days. Dr. Desai called me on Saturday after a Friday surgery. I still check in every day on the website 14 days after surgery.

A had a carpal tunnel released done by Dr. Desai, and could not be more satisfied with the outcome. When I first went to see him I was very pleased with his approach and the confident he made me feel about moving forward with what I needed to get done. This guy may be a competent surgeon, but he's a rotten and rude doctor, which I guess is par-for-the-course with gaining a god-complex in Surgery residency and practice. I guess when your bills are paid doing unnecessary surgeries as a lyme-denialist, you're not going to help out a case of Lyme-related hand swelling -- right in front of your eyes -- which should at least invoke some curiosity as he'd just dismissively labelled me a "zebra" in a prior appointment, when none of those symptoms were present, and i just had a "tr... read more
