I injured my left knee and thought for sure it was another meniscus tear, surgery, and months to get back to Normal. He did a thorough evaluation with questions and found it was a sprain and I need PT to help it heal. Dr Petrie was very good and I was very lucky to get to see him. I would recommend him to anyone. Dr. Petrie, his assistant and staff are absolutely amazing !!! So kind, compassionate, competent and thorough. I am so happy, grateful and thankful a good friend referred me to him.
Dr. Petrie is simply the best. He repaired my right shoulder after several dislocations due to surfing. Dr. Petrie saved my right arm so I could return to patient care and hold my daughters in my arms again. He has repaired all of my patients shoulders, that could not rehabilitate with PT and acupuncture. His PA Karri is also a fantastic human. I am forever grateful for you both.
I would recommend reading a book and trying to do it yourself before attempting to go see this doctor. That is... if you ever got to see him... I am not sure he is real. He canceled appointments and had his P.A. do my wife's first appointment so we never physically saw him. There were pictures of him but they could have come with the frame. Dr. Petrie has the rare balance between a fine, caring bedside manner and the confidence that exudes from a surgeon who knows what to do to bring a person back to perfect health. In my postoperative follow up session, while describing all that was wrong with my rotator cuff, he took professional pride in the challenge of the operation and how results were textbook outcomes for a newly rebuilt shoulder.
