While Newport Harbor Animal Hospital is not our normal vet, my wife and I went there this past Saturday because our older and very sick chihuahua Miles appeared to be on his last legs. Dr. Keely McLaughlin and her wonderful staff were extremely gentle with both Miles & us throughout the entire euthanization process and we are forever grateful for their excellent bedside manner and compassion.
I love my bandit. From the 1st visit I was comfortable. I believe they are master schedulers. It's never chaotic or overly crowded. I have a terrier Pit and I'm always careful with how others feel about them. Thought mine in gentle and loving. Every one here at NHAH know what's going on in every moment. Dr. Owen is so loving, knowledgeable and I completely trust her.
Established care here after moving to the area. The receptionist that answered the phone was rude and it was more difficult than it should've been to make an appointment. Wasn't stoked during/after our initial appt but this is just transitionary care as I'm in the area for work for a year. I brought my dog in for his annual visit at the very end of January 2025. Back for our yearly exam and things couldn't have gone better. The ongoing care with Dr. Ashbran and NHAH ensures that Gracie has a positive, healthy visit each year. We couldn't love bringing her here more. Wonderful staff, quick in and out ... but with time still spent with Dr. Ashbran on the bigger and smallest of concerns. Such generous care!
I have been bringing my dogs to NHAH and they have received excellent care…..until recently that is. I’m not sure what to write about first - the tragic $10,000 mistake made by Dr Toor? The suffering my brothers young dog endured as a result of Dr Toor’s inexperience? Or the anguish of my brother, wife and his children as their dog suffered a long and painful death.
