I recently had the opportunity to speak at Newport Academy and share my recovery story with the residents, and it was a truly rewarding experience. Trevor, one of the program directors, was wonderful to work with and clearly passionate about helping the young women in the program. I was in newport for a little over a month and it changed my life, it was hard being away from loved ones but it gave me an opportunity to focus on myself. My meds were changed and monitored so my treatment team could find the perfect fit. I went in there lost and came out a new person
This place is honestly horrible I felt worse there then being in the outside world you barley go outside because of how low staff if your kid feels alone they will feel more alone here I tried to get help for multiple reasons and they didn’t give the “help” and there is so much more that’s wrong with this place do not come here
never, and i mean EVER, send your child here. i stayed here for 114 days and it was the most traumatizing experience of my life.
