I went to Newport at 15. When I was admitted I absolutely did not want to be there and had no plans in get better. Long story short my stay at Newport gave me hope for my future. I’ve been able to become the person I’ve always wanted to be. Dr. Duna was an amazing family therapist. Most of the CCs were great and happy to help us. My daughter has been to several mental health facilities over the years, unfortunately, but I would say that this one is the very best of the best! The counselors and nursing staff are especially excellent, and I would recommend this facility wholeheartedly if your child qualifies to be here.
I was here about June of 2024 and it wasn't terrible. I was at the Roger's house but had to leave due to multiple incidents regarding my mental health. They really worked with me when I was struggling through my eating disorder. I will always remember Rebecca, Patrick, am Kat and pm Kat, and Sean. I was a hot mess and never got to writing a review. i love newport! i was there for 4 months, and every day i felt taken care of and so supported. my favorite staff here were faby, my family therapist, she would sit with me while my world was ending and never leave my side. another staff member was smritii. she was the best CC ive ever met in the world, she was so supportive and kind. so blessed to have had her supporting me. then theres luke, who gave me hope throigh hard times by being so kind and never bullshitting me. next is jess, the alumni person!! she once took me out... read more
When our daughter first entered Newport Academy, she was struggling significantly with her mental health and attempted suicide in June 2024. We were deeply concerned and felt at a loss for how to help her as a result of not having firm boundaries within our family. During her time in the program, we noticed gradual but meaningful changes.
