mrs Dr Newfield has been my physician for about 5 years. He was recommended by my mother-in-law and sisters-in-law. He has delivered all of our babies throughout the years. I cannot say enough words to describe his expertise and professionalism. His office staff is great as well, always ready to assist, they know us by first name. They all have always treated us like one of the family. Dr Newfield is well known for returning phone calls promptly and spending a good amount of time at each appointment time. mrs Dr. Newfield has been my doctor for about a year. He was highly recommended by a few of my friends. I recently got pregnant and unfortunately lost the pregnancy. During this very difficult time, Dr. Newfield and his staff were there for me every step of the way. He showed a great amount of compassion and patience, since I was in denial I had him repeat the ultrasound several times. The nurses Myra & Marianne were very kind and supportive. Do NOT see this doctor. Dr. Newfield refused to give me more than a 6 month prescription for birth control, and when I said my insurance wouldn't cover a second visit per year, he said he'd lie to my insurance company so they'd cover it. He then told me I might have endometriosis, which I have no symptoms for, but completely freaked me out until I talked to a competent doctor.
OBGYN - The girlfriends best referral Dr. Newfield is the nicest OBGYN - my girlfriend recommended him to me after my OB bailed on her whole practice while i was 8 months pregnant - not only did he take me at the 9th hour of my 3rd trimester - he took my insurance and took my calls personally - and took 2 hours with me on my first visit. He delivered my girlfriends 2 babies, my little boy and just recently delivered another girlfriends first baby. JM Dr. Newfield is a very genuine and caring physician. I was given his name from Dr. McNeese and was very pleased with the understanding and service I had at his office. His staff is also very knowledgeable and caring!
Wouldn't go ANYWHERE else A friend referred Dr Newfield as a gyn to me. He was friendly and seemed to know his stuff. I thought he was great. But I didnt' fall in love with him until I was pregnant. I felt like I was in good hands the entire pregnancy. He did know his stuff! He's friendly, laid back, and will take time to answer all your questions. I also LOVE his sonogram technician. She gets excited with you as she's showing you your baby. He works alone - not part of a group - so you get him every time.
Run don't walk away from Dr. Newfield Really good doctors treat you like a person. On your first visit, they talk to you in an office with your clothes on to find out why you're there, get your history -- all relevant information is exchanged. I saw this doctor three times and he only talked to me in the exam room in a drape the size of a washcloth, so I never felt I could relax and really address the issues I was there for. Newfield David L Md is best OB/GYN this is the best OB/GYN I have ever had. He delivered my third son who is as healthy as can be. I had many complications, but kept on check with my health and delivered a healthy, strong baby boy. I'd reccommend him to anyone who is looking for a good doctor. He keeps the hospital nurses on their toes seeing to it that they take excellent care of you. I'm glad, you need that sometimes. Some nurses don't have a good bedside manner. As a doctor, he certainly does!
Find another OBGYN HORRIBLE Customer Service. Their office manager Nora is completely unprofessional, rude and doesnt follow up/document things appropriately. They close for lunch everyday on most days for over an hour and a half. I would call and leave a message and never get a call back. When I spoke to Dr. Newfield, not only did he not even bother to listen to what I was saying, but when I told him that my grandmother had a stroke and that is why I missed my appointment he made a sarcastic comment asking how many strokes ... read more
