History Established in 2002. In January 2001 Mr. Dan Terry purchased the three story former hotel on the corner of Washington and Main streets and began renovations which took over 2 years to complete. In 2002 Mr. Terry opened a casual dining restaurant and called it "The Newell House" (which is the original name of the building when opened and operated as a hotel in 1872 till 1962).
