When I used to live near Matthews, this was my favorite place. A real gem hidden in the middle of nowhere! It's always packed! High quality, big rolls, always fresh, very reasonable price! We eat there every time we are in the neighborhood.
It was June 6, 2015. A couple of friends and I were I were in Charlotte for the first time in a while and we had no clue where to go for dinner. New Zealand cafe was the only one that was open and was close so we decided to give it a shot, plus we were craving sushi. We felt bad for walking in at 9:15 pm when they closed at 10, but we thought we would have time to eat. We ended up on the waiting list, but it wasn't longer than a 10 minute wait. My absolute all time favorite place to eat in Charlotte. If you want amazing, fresh sushi, then look no further. I no longer live in Charlotte, but when I come back to visit, New Zealand is always my first stop!
Wasabi Tuna Roll is one of my favorites! Everything I've had at New Zealand Cafe is fantastic!!!
Fresh tasty food and very friendly service, even when I spilled my tea. Busy most of the time but worth the wait!!
