Hamilton Happy Hour This was our first tour here in NYC. We had no idea what it was really about but it had happy hour in the title so assumed it had beer at some stage. John our guide was great and we made our way around NYC financial district learning about Hamilton and wall street. John was knowledgable and enthusiastic. Brian had another tour, but luckily he sent Jillian instead. I was the only participant, but Jillian was supercool and took me to several cocktail bars in the area. Had such a great time and learned a lot too. Jillian was also very helpful and gave me a long list of other cocktail bars to visit.
Our guide, Brian, was entertaining, knowledgeable and interesting. He was courteous and thoughtful. We went on the cultural food tour and Brian took our small group to wonderful little neighborhood places that a tourist would most likely overlook. He pointed out historical places and facts and emigration in a way that everyone of us could relate to in a respectful way and connect all is to our ancestry. Terrific experience-a highlight of the week in NYC.
Did the Tenements tales and taste tour with Brian and had a wonderful time!!! He was informative, knowledgeable and very engaging with everyone in the group!!!! I loved that the group was small so was easier to hear and see what was being talked about. Brian went out of his way to get to know everyone in the group personally!!! We had a fun morning on the Dumbo tour with Josh, Steffen & Elena. Josh's insights and tidbits of information made for an enjoyable and informative walk around the Brooklyn waterfront. We really loved the pastries at Smile to Go, the General Zapata chicken sandwich at Untamed Sandwiches, and or course the "beer ATM" at Randolph Brewery! Having the shop owners fill us in on the history of their businesses added to our experience.
