NYSC needs to communicate with clients and explain unscrupulous billing practices. I canceled my membership after an injury according to their protocol. They continued to bill me and said they didn't think I meant it when I filled out their cancellation forms. I filed a complaint with my bank and got my money back. 2 months later they charged me again for some of the charges claiming I have no proof I cancelled my membership. I am following up on a review I left on Monday. Go anywhere but here. MANY negative reviews left and all say same thing about lack of information provided when cancelling. They make you run through hoops to cancel and extra fees added on. Do your homework! The Y in Montclair is amazing, their cancellation policy easy!! No increases without notification!!! it's open late. There are a lot of machines.
This gym does not have a manager. Nobody knows what’s happening. When you ask for help they say they’re going to leave a message and someone will call you back and they never do. I can say this has happened to me at least 10 times. This is my fourth NYSC membership and I won’t go back after my Montclair experience!
I usually work out at the Springfield or Livingston gyms. This gym is compact, convenient to my church, has a nice locker room, studio & cycling spaces. It is smaller than What I am used to but works.
Please, what ever you do, do not sign up at this gym. I, like so many other customers have gotten charged, even after canceling membership. The manager is never there to help any clients , & this whole company is known for theft. I have read so many complaints on their social media websites & all they do is delete your comments, instead of solving your problems. Now I have to cancel my bank card.
