The wait time is absolutely insane. It took 4 hours to get results of a blood test for them to just tell my friend who was experiencing great chest pain and difficulty breathing that he had a cold. The doctor was nice before she left and we got passed on to another doctor that didn’t even see us for an additional hour. I agree with previous posts. The staff goof around and are extremely inattentive. 4 hours for a diagnosis of a cold is insane.
I have been to NYP a few times escorting other people there so Sunday 9/15/24 was my first time there as a patient in the Emergency Room. I was treated very well there. They went above and beyond for me. They took blood and even did a sonogram on me. They did everything they could for me there in the ER. I'm very pleased with the care at NYP.
