I’ve been a loyal Columbia Doctors patient since 1999 and have always had positive experiences — until recently. I had a colonoscopy with Dr. Fay Kastrinos, whom I met for the first time on the day of the procedure. She briefly introduced herself (maybe 1–2 minutes), and after the procedure, while I was still groggy from anesthesia, she quickly said everything went well and that I’d need another screening in 3 years. Their chemo infusion center in the 14th floor need to have staff that are mature and competent for this dept so that they are able to assist these sick patients appropriately. I have two family members that I accompany with for their chemo treatments for a few months now and I must say the front staff are very rude and make smart remarks and inappropriate comments when they ask questions to these sick patients. I had a truly exceptional experience with Dr. Matthew Ingham. He is not only highly knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly compassionate and attentive. Dr. Ingham took the time to carefully listen to my concerns, explained my condition and treatment options in a clear and reassuring way, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. It's rare to find a doctor who combines such clinical expertise with genuine empathy. I’m very grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend Dr. Ingham to anyo... read more

My father was a patient at this hospital before he passed away, and if I could give it zero stars, I absolutely would. The staff at the Herbert Irving Pavilion where he received chemotherapy were consistently rude and unprofessional. On one occasion, upon checking in at the front desk, a staff member yelled at us to "get back" because she wasn't ready to see us. To put this into perspective, she was busy laughing with her coworkers and made no effort to conceal her unprofessionalism. It is not like she was helping another pa... read more
