Located within stumbling distance of the University of North Carolina, this place has been a mainstay among locals and pizza fans on-campus since opening in 1977. Enjoyed open mic night and seeing my grandson play/sing his songs. There was alot of good talent, especially Rick Flores and the tall lady comedian.

The food is average to subpar. If you want decent and cheap pizza, go to Slices next door. If you want great pizza, go to Sticks and Stones on Walker Ave. While the food is lackluster, the primary fault of NYP is the bar attached to the restaurant and its frequent patrons. They are representative of the worst people Greensboro has to offer.

I love New York pizza. Is my favorite place to visit whenever I travel to Greensboro. Everyone has been so welcoming to me and my friends, the owner has been more than wonderful to the bands which I played for a while at that bar. And the pizza isn't too bad I can't argue with it. Overall I love this place and I wish I had one in my home town.
