Doctors are overworked but doing their best to help you. The important thing is, they are smart. As a nurse and a recent patient myself, I can attest to this fact. And that’s what the bottom line is. You want an accurate diagnosis. The nurses are also doing their best under oppressive ER circumstances. The ER is overcrowded as are all NYC hospitals. This is because people go to the ER instead of their family physician. People who complain about the wait, aren’t ER sick. I called my doctor first who told me to go to the ER.
