Went in to donate and had a great experience, made the appointment online and all the staff was super friendly!!! Will go back to donate!
Going in to donate for the first time. Starts out with rude guy in the front like he doesn't want to be there. Then things are fine for a while while they call people up saying "next donor, next donor". Then all of a sudden it stops and they let two women skip me for some reason. Then while in the chair I just get ignored while I stare at the ceiling. If you are a male I would be careful of this sexist place. Never donating again anywhere, good job.
My appointment was June 26 2025 What was bad: No transparency. Reception asked what i was there for, and i told her it was my first time, im not sure, and im nervous. She told me they needed platelets, so i said sure. And i can't remember if it was her or the nurse that made the "wow platelets, huh?" I upgraded my donation appointment from whole blood to platelets, because my blood type is that of a universal donor for platelets. Fortunately, 🤞 I had quite some extra time today!
Went a week ago and i wasn’t sure i should post this, but I feel i need to. We are there to Donate. We are volunteering. We should not be treated the way I was. I had a terrible experience with the man who “tried” to take my blood. I still believe he did it on purpose, but maybe he was having a bad day! He put the needle in so hard and rough then pulled it out half way, then pushed it even harder in and then took it out 🤬 This was not my first time donating, so i know how it should feel.
