Place is on the top tier of restaurants in Albany. Unique style with top quality, and thoughtful foods.
Food was outstanding n portions huge, huge. Still full n haven't eaten since yesterday. Braised short ribs with tomatillo sauce, fried plantains, mashed yams, black beans n rice.
So very disappointing, how can you possibly burn all four people's chicken (black, inedible, almost impossible to cut), and bring back equally burned chicken in 15 minutes (not plated, but all four portions dumped on one plate). We had been here before. but it wasn't like this. And instead of an apology, we got an extra $5 mystery charge that appeared on the credit card receipt (amount changed and increased by $5.50 from time I reviewed the bill to when she ran my credit card. We had a wonderful time at NWB tonight. I had the best hamburger I have ever had. The ice cream sandwich was delicious! And our waiter Noah was amazing!!
AMAZING food. The pumpkin hummus and eggplant "meatballs" were to die for. The service was great; we ended up eating our dinner at the bar instead of waiting for a table- our choice (Saturday night/no reservations), and the 2 bartenders were incredibly attentive and very friendly. Unfortunately we live 3 hours away in NJ, otherwise we'd be back there often! :)
But do not buy the Pizza, such a ripoff, outstanding waitress...And Service....
