I attended New Vision Wilderness for close to four months back in late 2013. The experience has had a long lasting impact on my life that has changed it for the better. If it wasn't for tor New Vision and the people within in it I would be on a very different path then I am now. I also spent over a year at a residential treatment center and still I believe that New Vision had the biggest impact on my life.
If I could give New Vision more than 5 stars I would. Going to NVW was one of the best decisions I ever made for my mental heath. In February of 2020, my depression was getting drastically worse due to a myriad of things that were happening in my life. I started the program in mid-march, after filling out the paperwork and saying goodbye to my mom, I was given my backpack with most of what I would have for the next 3 months. Amazing program - everyone from the welcoming day to the very strong therapist and truly incredible field staff.. I will be forever grateful.
I highly recommend this program. They do not just look at the behaviors, they look beyond the behaviors to get to the root of the reason why the individual is needing to resort to the maladaptive coping strategies. Their team is passionate and truly cares. Their clients' and their families' lives are deeply changed.
Xela and the folks from New Vision Wilderness are second to none. They transformed my God Daughters life. The care, love, attention and overall wisdom and guidance was truly an answer to prayer. I can't say enough great things about New Vision Wilderness and their organization. It was worth every penny. Thank you Andrew Scott and everyone who worked in the field and in the office.
