I’ve been coming here for over 5 years, mostly seeing Tony, and I can confidently say he is simply amazing. I’m quite picky and particular when it comes to my hair, but Tony always delivers. His attention to detail is outstanding, and you can tell he’s a bit of a perfectionist in the best way possible. He is also very welcoming, kind-hearted, and professional, which makes every visit a great experience. I highly recommend this place, and especially Tony, as your go-to barber. For consistency, quality, and care — pick Tony!
Justin and Tony and the team are the bomb! Justin has been my barber for over a decade and he’s the real deal - talented, accommodating, and an all around great guy! Their new shop on E. Georgia is fantastic. Would recommend them (and do!) to anyone looking for a fresh cut. 10/10!
Andy was phenomenal. Great cut and worked with my hair type which is rapidly thinning! Clearly very experienced and confident in his craft. He was great to chat to too - really appreciated his advice on some trails in Vancouver Island.
I get my hair cut with Tony and I’m so happy I found him. I’m very particular with my hair and it’s so nice having a barber that knows how to fade but also cut and shape the top hair. If you’re looking for an amazing Vancouver barber then Tony at New Shanghai’s your guy. The shop is also just good vibes, a great spot in Chinatown.
Tony has been cutting my hair for about 4 years & his care + attention to detail has kept me coming back to Vancouver once a month even though I've since moved away. He always takes the time to help me communicate the hair style I have in my head so that he can create it on top of it.
