My LO never had the opportunity to receive treatment here, but I can't say enough good things about Natalia who works at intake. My son was arrested due to his mental illness. In a frustrating system, Natalia was a shining light who worked hard to help my son get treatment instead of prison. She wrote multiple letters to the judge, New Roads came out and did assessments and validated my questions and concerns. This place is very money hungry. Straight up neglectful, they don’t actually care. They keep their clients for as long as possible and they have way too many clients on one wing. The psychiatrist was trying to push VERY heavy meds on me (lithium and depakote) before even assessing me. He then told me I don’t have bipolar and I do have ADHD so he shouldn’t have offered me those meds to begin with. Thank god I’m knowledgeable about medications and whatnot enough to decline (it’s saved me a few different times) but the psychiat... read more
