They had the pool bar closed when we were there and were not offering service from the restaurants to the pool. Additionally they had an event booked until quite late that was keeping guests up throughout the building. We asked to move rooms and were told it would not help and there was nothing they could do to stop the noise. Location is great but other than that just and over-priced sub-par Marriot.
My room was really small and the elevators were so slow. I was there for a conference and had to opt for the steps many times. Can’t beat the location, and the room was comfortable.
It's certainly loud in the rooms due to the busy location in town. During our stay, there were gun shootings outside, so not safe for sure. View is beautiful from the 36th floor. The sink was not draining down the water fast - clogged. Service downstairs for lunch was terrible. First you need to find a server as they didn't come up to us for a long time, then you need to ask them for everything that would be obvious for server to bring at first place like napkins and sharing plates for pizza. Good for the price. The room was a bit dated, but more than fine. The lobby gets loud and busy at midday, especially if there is a conference going on. Kinda takes you out of the spirit of New Orleans, but good location with easy walking to several cool neighborhoods.
Beautiful facility. Truly enjoyed my stay. Comfortable room and good food! Nice views.
