The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Center is a melting pot of culture. This community-driven establishment, located in a historic building in Tremé, is home to a 200-seat performance venue as well as seven classrooms. It hosts an array of live concerts, dance and performing arts by local and touring artists and musicians. Their aim is to educate and inspire music talent, and to carry forward the legacy of southeast Louisiana.

I do wish two things - they better staggered the headliners so you could enjoy more of them (mad I missed Lorde) and that it ran longer into the evening. 7PM?? What's that?! But even with the late start and rain yesterday it was great fun. It only allowed time for three bands and no time to view the villages and arts and craft areas. I wish the grandstand exhibition could have been seen on the walk out when you actually have the time and it closed at 6pm...not accommodating of your guests. But I will go again...
