Since being a client at NOFJC I am more depressed than I’ve ever been and my mental health state has declined further. They do not cater their clients good and will try to convince you to get on medicine instead of trying to help you. They do not care if you’re homeless and they do not care if you die. No support for victims of verbal and emotional abuse,You have to be a victim of physical abuse, otherwise you wouldn't be considered a supporter. If only they knew how emotional abuse destroys you, they would understand. It's worse than a physical blow; emotional abuse destroys you day after day, and the scars are never erased from your life.
They are very understanding & can help you escape your situation. Very knowledgable staff, and helpful resources to assist you in breaking the cycle…you can do this, and they are there to help support you every step of the way!

Research shows that many survivors like myself face significant barriers and challenges in accessing effective and compassionate services. I spent nearly two months living in an apartment with a broken light in my bedroom. I was told the handyman couldn't fix it and would attempt again at his convenience. This was over two months ago. I fel... read more
