DON'T EVER RENT A PROPERTY TO A TENANT VIA THIS ORGANIZATION. Ok so my wife tried to do a good deed by helping out one of the people in their shelter, renting them a property that we had at a massively reduced rent, after speaking to two of their councilors it was agreed that NOFJC would be responsible for paying the rent and ensuring that the tenant took care of the property. I don’t recommend anyone coming to the Claire Shelter. The staff are all rude and they play like they care for you and they really don’t! They treat clients like they are nothing! These are not ppl of good service run!

This place doesn't help mothers who have been abused by their partner. If this place helped mothers, why are so many women dying by their partners. This place take forever to help the women who have been abused and the women give up after cause there's no real help for them in New Orleans La.

I called them and they asked if I was hospitalized. I said no, I was not. After that, she basically told me to go away. Instead of telling me my options, she asked ME what I wanted, and then told me the wait list for counseling was 2 months long. She transferred me to intake because I insisted, and nobody answered and their message machine was full. Later I was told by a... read more
