Huge thank you to the new life center nurses and all medical staff. I had to unfortunately switch L&D/OBGYN around 30 weeks of pregnancy due to my health insurance changing. This was a very stressful time. All the staff at the new life center were incredible from the front desk to the nurses. My recent experience at this hospital was disappointing, especially compared to my previous visit. I had my second child here in 2023, and at that time, the care was much better—the staff was attentive, welcoming, and made me feel supported throughout my stay. Unfortunately, this time was completely different. From the moment I arrived, the staff seemed unhappy and unwelcoming, which made the atmosphere feel cold and impersonal. Just gave birth to my first child here and had a scheduled c section due to a breech baby. I went in very nervous about everything and left with confidence in my new role as a mom. All the nurses here were attentive , kind, knowledgeable and put me at ease. They were considerate to have minimal interruptions & tried to adapt coming for meds and wellness checks with my feeding & sleep schedule. I have not yet delivered at the New Life center, but have had two experiences here, and the last one was not okay. I have been receiving care from OBGYN and Midwifery at Avista. Overall, the experience has been wonderful. Around 26.5 weeks, my baby girl stopped moving in the womb. As a first time mom this scared me so badly as I have a friend whose family member has had a stillbirth for this very reason. I called into the midwife line and didn’t hear back for almost two days. I recently gave birth at Avista New Life Center, and I would like to share my experience in detail. Overall, my time at Avista had both positive and negative aspects, sadly mostly negative though. The Positives: The OB GYN care I received was excellent. My doctor was knowledgeable, and supportive throughout my pregnancy and delivery. Most of the nurses at Avista New Life Center were wonderful.
