I would not recommend renting from NLE. I was a tenant at 2 of their buildings over the course of 3 years. The maintenance crews were skilled and polite, but management didn't seem to give them appropriate tools/funding to really take care of the buildings. RecommendedLived at this property for almost 3 years and it was an absolute gem in the Riverwest neighborhood. Love the neighborhood and although there wasn't much interaction in this community we lived, everyone was always friendly and looked out for each other. In terms of the facility and amenities, they are unlike any others for the price point in not just Riverwest but all of Milwaukee. My landlord was fantastic. She was very professional, prompt, and understanding. Also, maintenance staff were very good. All around this company is managed very well. I would highly recommend renting with them.
my encounters with new land have been nothing but upsetting. we live in the area of their new building on farwell Ave and every time there van comes down the alley way they honk the entire way, sometimes very early morning. they almost hit our dogs because they fail to yield at the sidewalk.
Terrible service, clearly dont care about tenants
Makes up excuses to not return security deposits, charging tenants for repairs and maintenance that they are responsible for. With so many units and so many people moving in and out, they must make a nice chunk of change that way.
Elevator out for 2 days at TRIO Apartments. What if someone was stuck or a medical emergency on an upper floor? So called 24 hour maintenance hotline called and no answer or reply. NO reply from management emails sent. If you are 10 minutes late on your rent..$50 fine. If you need something...you're on your own. It was nice a year ago, now, not so much.
I've lived here for over two years and originally moved in when the building was own by a different company. When New Land took over my building, they got rid of the laundry room, the free in-building internet, while still increasing rent and parking prices. We get no warning of these increases. The parking lot is regularly covered in garbage and is landscaped maybe once a year.
