I encourage everyone to read all of Alicias complaints on ALL platforms.
she clearly has a pattern with being unethical especially when it comes to money & deposits.
Anyone who's had a similar experience should write a complaint of their own and report her to the BBB to avoid getting scammed.
DO NOT pay any deposits to Alicia via Zelle bc there's a big chance she will cxl on you at the last minute if u have an appt, Or if u have a class sched & she'll keep your money, then throw in her spiel about her "no refund" policy & there will be no recourse for u.
SHE HAS A VERY BAD REPUTATION WITH DOING THIS TO STUDENTS AND CLIENTS!!
Pay very close attention to the words being used on ALL of her reviews about how she operates!
As an owner, it is Alicias responsibility to give her students and clients their consent forms and policies in writing if she's asking for a deposit.
You should demand a fully itemized receipt if u pay her. If she has a problem with this, then don't business w her.
Students make sure u receive complete written docs stating what your deposit will go towards, include dates, times, service:course info. Create a deposit consent of your own, so that u have protection from her cxling on u & changing her mind at the last minute. Be sure to include a cxlation clause that protects YOU. Alicia needs your money NOT the other way around.
No business should ever take a deposit without giving a written exchange for the deposit paid.
If u are a client receiving any facial services, make sure you request to see her State Board Esthetician License & Business License.
THIS IS IMPORTANT for students in another state "outside" of Florida, make sure that she has all of the following :
* Bus license for each city
*Body Art Registration Certificate for her business to practice in each city
* Body Art Practitioner Certificate with her name
* BBP
**PLEASE NOTE she must register w each cities Public Health Dept. Or she is operating Illegally & u can report her.
Licenses and certificates DO NOT transfer outside of Florida where her normal place of business is.
Ive been a spa owner 22 years. I know all the legalities
Back in August I signed up for an Under- eye concealer course which she canceled w/o telling me bc I was the only one who signed up for it. She tried to force me to take a dif course for $5000 I made it clear that I wasn't interested in taking her Brazilian Camo Or Stretch mark class, bc I am already 3x certified, Why would I pay her $5000 to take this course again? I told her if the Under eye concealer class is cancelled then she needs to refund my deposit. Alicia should honor her class schedule whether there is 1 person or 10 people. I tried to keep all this in writing but Alicia made excuses, she became very calculating, only wanting to talk on the phone, stating it makes her more "relatable".
After speaking by phone she was very agitated & became increasingly hostile asking me where I got trained. She had no self-control & even started bashing the other educators where I got certified from saying how she doesn't like their techniques or their products, insinuating shes the best. Alicia obviously realized she messed up and was gonna be out $5000.00, but also needed a place to educate her 2 scheduled students. She sill wanted to use my business in Pasadena,Ca. She started making demands trying to instruct me on how I should accommodate her, she even had the audacity to say her other students usually let her educate in their studios for low cost or free. She was using bullying techniques, I agreed to help her mostly bc i wanted my deposit back but She only had 2 ppl & by phone she basically wanted me to close my shop for her.
she ended up finding an alt location, but still refused to refund me.I got legal counsel & made a final demand giving her a 24 hour period to refund me. She became very deceptive, and started gaslighting me bc i was demanding my money back
Its scary that she is an Educator. I live in L.A. but all Alici
