This counseling service has been helping my family for the past 15 years and we are so grateful! Dealing with autism and clinical mental health issues has been extremely difficult, but we have definitely improved and grown in our coping skills and managing symptoms. My children have been able to find jobs even with limitations because of the help they've received through their counseling. It's great to be able to have medication management at the same place too. I have nothing but great things to say about new horizons,and their staff. Mercedes and Ryan have been miracle workers for me. 20 plus years and dozens of different locations and new horizons is a one stop shop for all your mental health services
By far the worst "therapy" experience I've ever had in my life. The "therapist" Nick should be fired or quit because he clearly hates his job. He checks his phone or his watch every few minutes while you're talking, has a white board with the phrase "I don't know is not an answer" written on it, and is rude, condescending, and has a terrible attitude. I have no idea how he got into this line of work to begin with but it's clearly not for him. Needless to say don't go here for therapy!
The therapist I saw was unprofessional. He cecked his phone and/or iwatch more than 4 times during our 50 min. session. I don't mind if there's a msg you need to answer. It may be urgent. It would be nice to say "excuse me" or "I'm sorry, I've got to take this." He never once did that. Instead, in the middle of me talking, he just completely turns away from me and pulls up his emails for work. Types his reply. Or if it was his cell phone, he'd read, and then while in the middle of talking to me, he'd stop mid sentence while ... read more
