THE OFFICE IN VALLEY STREAM called me to reschedule my appointment two weeks from today. However, I needed a refill on my prescriptions. I was told that i had to see a psychiatrist first but they only had openings on Saturday. I cannot attend as i am a Jewish observer. valley stream sucks violate your civil rights
So I really feel like I need to talk to someone . I called up the location in Howard Beach . They did an initial intake and I was told someone would call me back to set up an appointment . I waited and waited no call back. I called 4 times in 2 weeks . Still no call back. I am depressed but what if I was suicidal!!! This is beyond unacceptable in a society where mental health issues are on the rise. RecommendedEveryone at the Beach 88th Street location is professional and friendly. I have been going there for a year and 8 months and the care and treatment I receive are top notch. Both my psychiatist (Dr. Bartha) and social worker (Emily) are truly caring and attentive to my needs.
I have only had 2 days contact and I have found them very unprofessional and unorganized. Albeit I may not be their target client I was left with a very bad taste in my mouth from what was the start of a new relationship.
