I rented at the Rice Circle apartments. The experience at first wasn’t bad, the rent just felt overly expensive for the size of the apartment and quality of appliances. As the lease went on, the office staff was proven to be very rude and unprofessional. Appliances started to not work - including the A/C unit, refrigerator, and oven. We rented an apartment for my daughter during college, and these people took every opportunity to show her how dishonest the real world can be. We constantly had issues with heating/cooling; terrible (very old) appliances; she went without a refrigerator for a week because theirs quit, but somehow they found ways to make her think she did something wrong, saying “You didn’t tell us there was an issue before it quit.”…. Rented an apartment for my daughter that was attending college. It was overpriced for what we were getting, but options are few in Cookeville. She had constant maintenance issues. They would repair them, but usually took a while to get things fixed. After not renewing the lease and moving out, they kept half the deposit as a cleaning fee. We had to clean it before she moved in, and we cleaned it very well after moving out. It was just a money grab.
Just moved after renting with New Day for two years and can honestly say they are the best company I’ve rented from! We rarely had any maintenance related issues during our time there, but when we did they were always resolved promptly. The staff is very friendly and professional. Highly recommend renting from them!
My mom rents a duplex from New Day and they have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Can’t recommend enough. The unit is modern and clean and they are on top of maintenance. The office staff is helpful.
