Lisa is an amazing counselor and person! My husband and I saw her for marriage counseling. She was very understanding but also gave us the little pushes and encouragement we needed to deal with our problems. Counseling is very much what you put into it you will get back. But Lisa's guidance and encouragement really gave us the tools and strength we needed to move forward. I highly recommend New Dawn.
I've met a number of therapists over years and never experienced feeling so irrelevant as a person until Lisa. Although she said all the right things. She didn't seem interested in connecting with me. After multiple visits I felt like I was trying to lead the appointments while she futzed with her paperwork and multiple interruptions, cats or dog and whatever and barely made eye contact with me unless I asked for her attention. I normally don’t post reviews but after this I felt like I had to , the receptionist was NOT friendly and treated me like I was a confused child . I called because I wasn’t sure if Lisa took my insurance and upon finding out she only does Video calls with therapy I told her I would just call my insurance to find another place and I don’t know if she wasn’t listening or just didn’t hear me but she then tried to book me for an appointment and when I got confused asking “okay for who though?” As I didn’t realize it was just Lis... read more
