The Extra-mural nurses have been amazing in helping my Father, they are very thorough and caring.
Why do I think my husband would still be with me if I had called on a weekday instead of Saturday? We're told to call Extra-Mural before 911 so I did, speaking with nurses three times that day. Was told 'wait for the antibiotics to kick in', 'have him drink more fluids' and 'oh, you don't want me to be the one taking blood'. Everything to avoid having to come on a Saturday. I know he was very sick and didn't have a long time but if I had called the ambulance instead of Extra-Mural, I also know he would have gotten more oxyge... read more
