At first, New Beginnings seemed like an abusive place. But most of the "abuse" is just restraints that the kids escalate. I loved it here. All of the staff were nice. If you truly want to get better, this is the place for you, but if you don't care and mess around, you should not come here. We were allowed snacks in our rooms, and water packets which is more than what most places allow. Kids that don't like this place are kind of ungrateful because you have 24/7 support. My experience here was great they was not abusive.The staff was so nice and funny.We had so much fun Halloween party, talent show,even dance competition.I got there 6/30/25 and I left 3/3/25 it was fun the only thing I didn't like was that there was wall restriction but they always let us have coping skills and stuff.Staff that was so nice was ms.mo,ms.bowman,ms.ashlee,ms kara,ms Kayla,and ms tee.but I would send my kid here if I had too in the future but that's my experience

This is about new beginnings, because sometimes the only way forward is to finally walk away from what hurt you. For a year straight I lived in a place where the staff were abusive, where punishment was normal and silence was expected, where they would put us on the wall and make us sit there for hours like we were nothing, just bodies taking up space, staring at paint while time crawled. Cuyahoga County sent my daughter here. They sent me an incident report for my child today 10/8/2025 and they mistakenly sent me another child’s incident report. These reports were exactly the same. They just changed the names. My child has also shown signs of sexual abuse and cuyahoga county isn’t doing anything about it. They also let the kids steal my child’s clothes (allegedly).
