I’ve tried others over 40 years now and she is simply the best . New to the practice but experienced with pulmonologists. Wife says she’s the doctor detective .pulled all my history and listened intently and asked detailed pertinent information, then went over a game plan so I know what and when to expect procedures etc. . Her team is in sync . Thanks

Drove my mother over an hour to see her. Well worth the trip. She is an excellent communicator..she learns what her patients issues and needs are. She sets realistic expectations. She explained a medication prescribed by the cardiologist may be causing mom's shortness of breath. The cardiologist had no answers other than go see a pulmonalagist. I highly recommend her. One of the best doctor's I have met with.
I first met Dr. Carp while working at Bethesda Hospital. I am a nurse and liked the way she managed her patients. She is assertive and to the point. I became a patient of hers after being diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases, Scleroderma and Raynauds. She is familiar with and comfortable with managing the effects these diseases have on the pulmonary system. Recently I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Great Doctor!
Dr Carp genuinely cares about her patients. She will give you all the time necessary to explain your condition and treatment options. She coordinates with any of your other physicians to ensure everyone is up to date and informed. So if you have to wait past your appointment time, bear in mind that she will give all her patients the time needed so just be patient. She's worth waiting for!
