After waiting for my appt for over a month, I was stuck waiting for Dr. Purvines for OVER AN HOUR before finally leaving without being seen. Apparently, he was “stuck in traffic” but no one bothered to inform his patients. When I finally walked out, his office called me and asked me if I was coming back in and had the nerve to tell me that I showed up late, when I arrived on time. Dr. Purvines showed blatant disregard for his patients and his office staff is rude, disrespectful and incompetent. Save yourself your time and do... read more

I had a 10 month follow up appointment with Dr. Purvines. He & his nurse; Dee, are so nice & kind. Dee was patient with me too as I called & left a lot of messages for her. I will never forget laying in the hospital & having Neurosurgeon after Neurosurgeon decline to do my surgery. When the P.A that made daily rounds learned of my issue he spoke to Dr. Purvines who agreed to look into it. Later that evening after his surgeries he took the time to come to my room & tell me he could help me! It was a Friday evening when a casu... read more

I had a protruding L5-S1 disc. We had a couple consultations. Dr. Purvines was 50-50 if he wanted to do the surgery. We ended up doing it, which basically was using a laser to remove disc material pressing on the nerve root. Dr. Purvines commented after the surgery he was surprised I was walking and not in more pain, based on the situation he found. I've had no complications from that surgery, and no pain from that procedure onward. I do have new disc issues with L3-L4, and I will consult with him again.

I saw Dr. Purvines several times before and after my spinal fusion, laminectomy, and cyst removal, and he did three of my moms fusions, and we absolutely LOVE him! He and his staff were so kind, courteous, and personable that we both looked forward to our appointments. I cannot stress enough that he is one of the best doctors I have ever had! 100% recommended!

I went to Dr Purvines about a year ago for a second opinion after my local surgeon told me I had to have a multi-disc fusion. I was told it was the only option and that there would be a 6-12 month recovery. I am so happy he was recommended. He and his staff are just great. They took the time to answer all of my questions and talked to me like a person in a way that was clearly understandable. Rather than the fusion I was told was the only option, he instead did a discectomy which had about a 6-8 week recovery. It has been ov... read more

Not even a visit. I requested an appointment to see him based on previous recommendation. I had an MRI to finally diagnose my 4year neck pain issue due to at least a sprained alar/transverse ligament (could be more than that if I had a recumbent MRI on that particular area). He voice messages me saying "he didn't see anything alarming" without a physical appointment, and disregarded my radiologist's request of a better quality MRI to see the extent of damage. All on a dismissive tone. All this and several days delay of even ... read more
