Dr. Scott Purvines is an amazing Neurosurgeon, currently working with BJC. I could write a book about what good he has done for me. Doctor Purvines has been working with me for the last 15 years. I have severe cervical spine issues and I've had 6 surgeries so far with him. We just got done with a cervical fusion where I was having issues with chord signal depletion, and in impingement of the central canal. Dr. Purvines is an outstanding doctor and caring human being! He has operated on me with great success and I recommend him highly.
Dr Purviens is the best. He has done surgeries on my back and neck. He has also put in a stimulator in 2017, well on June 5th he had to replace the battery in it. Sometimes when you go into his office you may not get in on time but that is because he doesn't rush his patients in and out, he examines you ,he goes over any images with you if you had any done. May 21, 2025 A wonderful Doctor I had a 10 month follow up appointment with Dr. Purvines. He & his nurse; Dee, are so nice & kind. Dee was very patient with me as I called & left a lot of messages for her. I will never forget laying in the hospital & having Neurosurgeon after Neurosurgeon decline to do my surgery. When the P.A that made daily rounds learned of my issue he spoke to Dr. Purvines who agreed to look into it. I would give Dr. Purvines ZERO stars. He showed blatant disregard for his patients as he showed up over an hour late and still had other patients to see before me. When I finally walked out, his office called me and had the nerve to tell me I showed up late when I showed up on time. I would not let this doctor operate on me if he were the last doctor on earth. On top of all of this, his office staff is rude, disrespectful and incompetent.
