Have had a referral sent to neurospine institute 3 months ago for my mum. Till now we have not even received an initial appointment date. Each time we call and try to follow up they tell us either: you will receive an appointment date in the next two weeks, or they say we’ll give you a call today at X time. Never once did they ever honour their word! Beyond disappointed as we have now wasted 3 months waiting on them while my mum has crippling back pain when we could’ve been talking to any other practice or doctor. Today was ... read more

I had Dr Hamilton perform some injections in my spine to block the pain radiating down my legs. It was a great success. Best i have felt in a long time. Dr Hamilton was very professional in how he explained what he was going to do, the risks and how long everything may last. Highly recommend if you are thinking about this.

I was disappointed with my appointment with Dr Cunningham . I had heard great reviews about him . The appointment didn’t last Lon g even though it was the first time he had seen me . The consultation cost me 550 dollars with an 86 dollar Medicare rebate. The most ever paid to see a specialist . He then interrupted and said “fast forward to now “ I was trying to explain my symptoms and that pain down my leg and a numb left foot . He ... read more

I can't give a rating for the neurosurgeons because I never got to see one - the rating is for poor and non-existent communication of the NI. If I had known better I could have have saved myself nearly 2 months of pain by getting a different referral. If anyone is in pain and waiting more than a week for a response to a referral to the Neurospine Institute, I would move on and get a referral for different neurosurgeon. I've dealt with other specialists before and never come across this issue. I had a referral for one of the ... read more

Dr Michael Kern did my Fusion in the lower Back, his after care is atrocious, when I advised that I had bad nerve pain down the leg which was not there prior to surgery, he said that was normal, if we asked questions he was rude and dismissive. I have been in a lot of pain since surgery 4.5 years. I have since found out that he crushed a nerve and no surgery can help. Now having a spinal stimulator implanted to help with pain. Would not recommend Dr Kern ever
