My physician surgical skills are excellent, everything else that happened from delays, to poor communication and not being prescribed any pain medication that was told that it would be, to me, my husband and tvh nurse, is not my surgeons fault? As of Sunday, 8/31/25 no one is able to fill a prescription, not Treasure Valley Hospital who have my records, nor the on-call after hours who does not have my records, in which I was told by TVH to call and they could help me. Disappointed in the after care.
Had the worst lower back pain to the point I could not drive 15 min and I would lose feeling in my left leg, and pain that prevented me from sitting. I did my research for the best doctor and found Timothy Johans. Straight to the point wasn't mincing the words knew I had to have surgery. Now 3 months later I am pain free and got my life back. I highly recommend Dr Johans, and his PA. The surgery was done at Treasure valley hospital and they were amazing too.
Hopefully people see this and go elsewhere. They will just recommend surgery and you'll be in pain the rest of your life.
I just felt I was left hanging. Doctor left without saying anything. Nurse came in later and said we were free to go. I had questions that I would like to have asked and I didn't feel like the exam was very thorough. The doctor seemed rushed and distracted.
I had spinal fusion surgery in my thoracic and lumbar spine a month ago. Dr Montalbano did my surgery at Treasure Valley Hospital (they were amazing) and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. Since day 1 he has been caring, attentive, informative and had answers to all of my questions. This was a big operation for me and he was always very reassuring and the result was a successful spinal fusion.
