Ms. Safi represented that she had the authority to sell the home in reference and entered into a legally binding real estate contract with the buyer. Accordingly, any advertising by the buyer of a property under contract is done per Texas real estate regulations and within the signed contract. Ms. Safi’s complaint fails to mention that the real property records of Williamson County do not show her as the owner or owning any interest in the home she agreed to sell. Beware of Matt and Stuart in the Austin/Lamar location. My partner and I were in the process off purchasing a house from them in Spicewood area. In the beginning we were splitting the purchase of this house with another LLC. The closing for this house was on the 24th and the LLC that we were going in 50/50 decided to back out on the 20th -- leaving us only 4 days to get approved to buy the house on our own. I and two partners entered into a contract to purchase a property from the Austin office. While signing the initial paperwork and putting up the $5K "down payment" (they refused to call it earnest money), our Rep. Matt T******** stated that it was refundable because they prefer to keep "good relations with their clients". I wouldn't ever recommend the San Antonio branch of this company. They have an internal dog eat dog structure set up for their 18 sales reps, playing them against one another. Yesterday I was called by the rep assigned to me about a house that the rep thought was a good match and he told me he would meet me there. After I was almost there (25 minute drive) he calls and said there was a "time Lock" on the key box that expires at 7PM and he's sorry but he can't meet me or show me the house... Really?
