Neptune was God of the Seas, but the Neptune Oyster however isn't as vast as the waters he ruled over. This is a small pearl that can seat about two dozen people in simple and neat surroundings. Apart from oysters and clams, you'll get a variety of other seafood and if you're in to it, you can try some smoked and raw salmon. You can also savor some Italian seafood like North End Cioppino and Whole Loup de Mer.

My parents and brother has been many moons ago and always spoke highly of Neptune. Finally decided to drive up to Boston to have the lobster roll. I ordered some oysters and they were really fresh. Got the Johnny cake and it was so tasty. I should have picked the mayo based lobster roll instead of butter. Regardless there was so much lobster in the roll. Yummy fries, all around good food. Will come back again. Maybe when it’s not freezing cold.

Horrible experience last night. Rudest servers I’ve ever encountered, along with Bonnie, the hostess/manager. I suppose that they don’t care about customer service, since there will always be a line out the door of tourists waiting to try the lobster rolls (which, by the way, were WAY overrated). If you want good seafood AND good customer service, check out Mare Oyster Bar down the street. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent raw bar - oysters are amazing
Hoped to revisit this place since it was a favorite hangout when I used to live in the neighborhood. We stopped in on Friday evening and were greeted by the rudest hostess who said, “If you’re not on my f- -kin’ list you’re not getting in! We are all sold out!” We walked right out and are NEVER going back!
