The reception staff were helpful in guiding me through the process. Doctors were approachable and gave proper attention. The hospital was clean, and I noticed regular cleaning happening. Good service overall.

I came in for a simple small service. I kept asking the financial department multiple times how much it was going to cost before I accepted this particular service. She simply said that she did not know. I went ahead anyway out of blind faith. The bill I got in the mail was OUTRAGEOUS!!!! Close to $800 for a simple blood work other places charge about $200 for. If they are going to rob me like this, they will never see a cent from me. I’d rather suffer death on the streets than to be healed at this hospital!

I went into Pittsburg hospital last night with contractions instead of chanute hospital because my Dr just keep giving me the go around. I was told I was 3 cm dilated 50% effaced with 4-6 minute apart contractions. The Dr there wanted to send me home and the nurse didn’t so the nurse while discharging me told me go straight to chanute hospital. It’s a good hospital… but the women’s health is a joke… I love the Ob department the nurses are sweet when you deliver but women’s health is a joke… I loved Dr Taylor and loved Dr lowden when she was there Taylor did a great job with my daughter but the nurse practitioner I seen after I had her I just had the worst experience ever with her… I had a nexplanon put into my arm and it’s not for me so I went back a few months after having it put in just to be lectured and told they can’t remove it… I feel so judged and discourage... read more
