When I have to see my 79 year old mom suffer without her meds I'm livid. I feel the doctor should see her days before she runs out of medication to prevent her from running out and then calling to cancel her appointment last minute. There's nothing worse than seeing your mother suffer and telling her it's going to be o.k. we only have a few hours to see your doctor, and he doesn't have a backup doctor for her to see. While the receptionist is constantly telling you I'm sorry. She's not!!!!
